The Carolina Hurricanes may not have any player up for an accolade at the conclusion of this season, so I thought that it would be fun to hold the first ever Carolina Hurricane centric Awards. Based off the actual NHL Awards, I will use six awards annually that we can debate over, and at the end I’ll throw in the Awards that have a clear winner (the Art Ross, Vezina, and Maurice Richard Trophy.)
The six awards, which I’ll present sporadically over the next two months, include the Bill Masterton, Calder, Frank J. Selke, Hart, Norris, and Lady Byng. I’ll present three nominees, but feel free to add another one to the list in the comments section, and on June 2oth (the date of the actual NHL Award show) I’ll announce the winners.
