The Arizona Diamondbacks (49-48) pounded Colorado pitching for nine hits on their way to a 6-2 win over the Rockies (36-60) on Tuesday evening.
Colorado got on the board first off a solo home run to lef-center field by Colorado outfielder Michael Cuddyer, putting the Rockies up 1-0.
The D-backs would respond in the bottom half of the inning when Arizona shortstop Stephen Drew doubled to deep left-center field, scoring Chris Young from second base, and tying up the game at 1-1. Willie Bloomquist followed with a ground rule double to deep left-center field, plating Drew from second base.
