The mingling of Los Angeles Kings and Sacramento Kings swag is a bit like putting A&W in the same glass with an award-winning IPA — just because they share the name “beer” doesn’t mean they blend well.
Consider also that the NHL’s Kings had a slight identification problem with the local media when it came to Sacramento Kings during their championship season — with NBC4 replacing the Stanley Cup champs’ logo with that of the NBA also-ran, and subsequently apologizing; and KCBS confusing the teams’ mascots.
