This historic night of LFL Canada will feature two of the league’s most-promising offenses in the No.1 ranked BC Angels hosting the No.3 ranked Regina Rage. BC will rely heavily on their untested rookie Quarterback Mary Anne Hanson while Regina will start US free-agent all-star Nikki Johnson. The edge would have to go to Regina as Johnson has a stronger arm and brings a ton of experience to their offense. Although if Hanson can get comfortable for BC, she has far more targets than any offense in LFL Canada which include wide receivers Ashley Petrie and US free-agent pick-ups Cassandra Strickland and all-star Jessica Hopkins. Petrie could be the breakout star of this offense if she can improve her hands.
On-the-ground, Regina should have the edge once again with US free-agent rookie Carmen Bourseau who possess’ speed and power while LFL Canada’s most-heralded back in BC’s Stephanie Manou is coming into tonight’s game banged up with a broken nose. Where both offenses will be made or broken will be the front-line and unfortunately for Regina, there is no comparison as BC features not only features the league’s biggest frontline but a very athletic one including a projected breakout star in Stevie Schnoor (Canada’s National Rugby Team Captain).
