On Saturday night, the Dallas Cowboys defeated the St. Louis Rams, 20-19, in the first of two preseason games in the friendly confines of Cowboys Stadium. The offense racked up 342 yards in the first half and was clicking on all cylinders from the first snap of the ball. And for the third consecutive time this preseason, the first-team defense held the opposing team without a touchdown.
Romo Shines
The third preseason game is obviously the one that matters when it comes to preparation for the real deal. And quarterback Tony Romo relished the opportunity by throwing for 198 yards and 2 TD’s on 9-13 passing. Romo did this all in the first quarter–the only one he played because of his success. His performance was particularly impressive considering the absence of top targets Dez Bryant and Miles Austin, who were both held out with injuries…
