Dallas backed up all the trash talk from the offseason last week, as they beat the defending champions Giants to gain some revenge. However, one win is not impressive over the course of an entire NFL season, and now the Boys have to get ready for another tough road game. This time, it’s a trip to Seattle, one of the toughest places to play.
NFL odds are favoring the Cowboys on the road in this one, as the Seahawks are +3 home underdogs. Home underdogs were 3-2 ATS in Week 1, so things look good for Seattle off the bat. However, the Cowboys are a new team this season, and it shows.
Between the play of Tony Romo, and the stellar secondary play from the Cowboys’ two next corners, it was a fantastic show last Wednesday. Dallas faces a similar foe this week in Seattle. The Seahawks have a very good defense, and their pass rush is very good, much like the Giants. Dallas did a great job at protecting Romo against the Giants, and if they can do the same this week, the Cowboys could be two for two on road games.
Brandon Carr and Morris Claiborne will play a huge role in this game as well. The Seahawks will be trotting out rookie Russell Wilson in this one once again, and if the Cowboys can make Seattle a one-dimensional offense, they will escape with the win.
DeMarcus Ware had 2 sacks on Eli Manning on opening night, and he became the fastest player to 100 career sacks in NFL history. If Ware can get to Wilson, this game might get ugly in a hurry.
