UConn Huskies head basketball coach Jim Calhoun will officially announce retirement on Thursday, sources have told ESPN.
Calhoun will announce it at a press conference, which is expected to be scheduled for 2 P.M. ET. This also means that Kevin Ollie, the assistant head coach, will replace Calhoun at head coaching duties.
Calhoun helped the Huskies win three national titles, with the last being in 2011 when the Kemba Walker-led Huskies beat the Butler Bulldogs in the championship game. His other two came in 1999 and 2004.
