Why the Green Bay Fiasco Has Wider Reaching Effects Than anyone is Talking About.

Everyone is talking about the end of the Green Bay/Seattle game because of the on the field debacle. However if I was the NFL, I would be more worried about the off the field possibilities, and consequences.

Right now the NFL finds itself the defendant in a lawsuit involving more than 2000 former players concerning safety of the game. The NFL has maintained that they are always at the forefront of safety and they have never put the game before keeping its employees safe.

Thanks to the replacement refs proving they cannot do the job on the field, due to missed calls, and players taking more shots to the head and neck region(Darius Heyward-Bey, Matt Schaub), players are no longer “safe” playing the game. The NFL shield is being bloodied and battered each and every week the regular refs are locked out.

The defense lawyers must be salivating knowing that each and every call these “Scrub” refs make and every injury suffered by today’s players will bolster their case and make it easier for them to win big against the NFL owners.

The NFL can claim they care about the game, and they would never harm it because the game is best thing going, and every week it means less and less. the fans know it, the players of today know it, the players of yesterday know it, and most of all the lawyers know it.
