Sunday’s game marks the 105th matchup between the Chiefs and Chargers. The only team the Chiefs have played more often would be the Oakland Raiders (106 games). The Chiefs hold a narrow 52-51-1 (.505) advantage in the series, although the Chargers have won seven of the last nine matchups. So, what do the Chiefs need to do in order to win Sundays game?
1) Give the ball to Jamaal Charles. Then give it to him again. And again, and again…..
He leads the NFL in rushing and will continue to do so as long as they give him the opportunity to do so.
2) Offense needs to step up to the plate. Matt Cassell needs to be more patient….as interceptions and fumbles will lose the game. Dwayne Bowe needs to simply do what he does best…catch the ball and hit the ground running.
3) Special teams needs to get it together. 2 weeks in a row they have surrendered huge kick returns, and that MUST stop. Block, block, block. And for heavens sakes, learn how to tackle.
