Things are looking really interesting this coming Thursday night as division rivals the Arizona Cardinals and St. Louis Rams are set to square off. The Cardinals are one of the only three undefeated teams left in the NFL and the Rams are coming off of a huge wins against another division rival in the Seattle Seahawks, so this game should be extremely compelling to watch this coming Thursday.
Being undefeated in the type of climate the NFL season in 2012 offers is no small feat. With rookie quarterbacks running wild, replacement refs making terrible calls and everything in between, most teams are lucky to have a .500 record. But Arizona has managed to stay strong over the course of the first four weeks, gaining victories against the likes of the Seahawks, Patriots, Eagles and Dolphins. They look to continue the streak Thursday night as they try to rack up another division win.
This will not be easy if the Rams have anything to say about it. While they do not have the record that the Cardinals have this season, they have fought hard to get the wins they have. The have gained victories over both the Redskins and Seahawks and look to get above a neutral record after week 5 with a curtail win over Arizona. Being able to take away a perfect record from a division rival would be great bragging rights for them as well, so that must be driving them to get the win in primetime.
The NFL odds for this week put the Cardinals as a -1.5 advantage in the scoring, so they look like a lock for the win. This is a division game, however, so it is anyone’s game. Be wary of picking on this one, as it might come back to haunt you.
