Danica Patrick readily admits her rookie season in NASCAR hasn’t exactly set the world afire. Making the transition from IndyCar to stock cars can be difficult for anyone, and she’s aware that her results haven’t exactly been stellar.
She was quoted in Auto Week:
“I feel like we’ve been overall much faster than what our results have showed and performed better in the race than what our results have showed,” Patrick said on Friday at Kansas, where she is running both the Nationwide and Cup Series races this weekend. “We definitely had a pretty long stretch of bad luck through the summer, and I feel like that was maybe where we had the most speed.”
