Mikhail Prokhorov will punish himself by getting married if the Nets don’t win a championship soon

When Mikhail Prokhorov bought the Nets, he immediately unveiled his aggressive plan to win at least on championship in the first five years of his ownership.

This is year three in Prokhorov’s reign and there is still no championship. But after an offseason that included re-signing Deron Williams and adding Joe Johnson, players are beginning to believe that a championship is near.

But with only 3 full seasons left in his plan, Prokhorov is getting antsy. And in a Q&A with Steve Serby of the New York Post, where Serby asks about the chances of Prokhorov getting married, Prokhorov reveals that he will do so as punishment if the Nets don’t win the title in the next 3 seasons.
