Philadelphia Eagles Officially Announce Rookie Nick Foles as Week 11 Starter

The inevitable is finally a reality, as the Philadelphia Eagles have officially ruled starting quarterback Michael Vick out for their Week 11 matchup against the Washington Redskins.

Vick sustained a pretty sizable concussion in Week 10 against the Dallas Cowboys, according to head coach Andy Reid. He is still the starter when he returns from his injury, says Reid.

Vick’s injury will open the door for rookie third-round draft pick Nick Foles to make his first NFL start. Luckily for Foles, the Redskins have lost eight straight games against rookie quarterbacks. But luckily for the Redskins, the Eagles are reeling right now, with five straight losses following a 3-1 start.
