I am here to tell you the rest of the story, handed down from generation-to-generation. A Cowboys “Roots” You may say.
The Giants had left their homeland in search of a new world. They set out on the Mayflower with all their worldly possessions. They knew even then that the NFL had no designs on giving them an NFL team and the most they could hope for was a yearly game between two teams drawing short straws. So they set out to America to be America’s team.
Sir Revery of Roadie led the crew.
A young lad by the name of Gmen of Nottingham chronicled the journey and deckhand Reaper of Grimm and Sir Blue Moon also pitched in.
They arrived in winter. It was already cold and there was no food ready available. They staggered around awhile till they came to a group of native cowboys fans.
Revery wasn’t afraid so he proceeded to say, We are here to establish a territory in this land of NFC East and declare ourselves American’s team in the new land.
You can’t do that Chief Reg said. Only one America’s team. We were here first. You go home now.
