Today in 1988: Barry Sanders wins the Heisman

I remember exactly where I was, watching through the glass of my iron lung shortly after being diagnosed with polio, wiping away the condensation to see Barry Sanders grin through a satellite feed from Toyko as he won the 1988 Heisman Trophy.
