R.A. Dickey won the 2012 National League Cy Young Award for the New York Mets, but just a few weeks after taking home that hardware, the 38-year-old knuckleballer is likely on his way out of Queens. Apparently as many as eight teams have approached Mets general manager Sandy Alderson about Dickey and New York has a great chance to land a nice haul in return for him.
At the first day of the winter meetings on Monday, Alderson was a busy man, meeting with multiple teams about a potential deal. The Boston Red Sox, Texas Rangers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Kansas City Royals and Los Angeles Angels have confirmed interest in the righty.
