Herschel: Georgia Bulldogs Spring Write Up and Observations

Here is the University of Georgia (the nation’s oldest state university, 1785).
The Dawgs finished 4th/5th in the Coaches/AP polls.

Who we lost:

8 defensive starters, all of whom will be drafted, including 3 probable first rounders, plus 2 more who will be drafted.
1 WR, Tavarres king, who was outstanding (ask MSU and Nebraska).

Who returns:

The entire offensive line, 3 deep.
Both tight ends
The QBs (4 deep) Murray is the only QB in SEC history with 3000 Yards for 3 years
Both RBs (Gurshall) 2135 yards, 25 TDs, 6.3 YPC.
3 WR starters

Outlook

The Dawgs should have the best offense in the SEC. The question will be the defense. Replacing Jarvis Jones and Ogletree will not be easy.

September will define the season. The Dawgs open at Clemson, then host South Carolina and LSU.

My projection – 11-1. I don’t think UGA can sweep September with that schedule.
