Just how popular can one college football player get? Texas A&M sensation Johnny Manziel is about to find out. Mere weeks after becoming the first freshman to win the Heisman Trophy and creating a loophole for collegiate athletes to legally make money, Manziel is already pondering what lies beyond Aggieland.
The man who has trademarked the nickname “Johnny Football” apparently told college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit that he might enter the 2014 NFL Draft. After all, he was a redshirt freshman in 2012, which means he’ll be eligible to go pro after his redshirt sophomore season at Texas A&M in 2013.
