A warrant has been issued for the arrest of former NFL receiver Chad Johnson, per a report from TMZ. Apparently Johnson is wanted for missing some key dates in relation to his no contest plea for a domestic dispute with ex-wife Evelyn Lozada. Here are details:
The Broward County District Attorney’s Office tells us … Johnson has failed to report to his probation officer — a violation of the terms of his probation — and on May 7, a judge issued the warrant.
Once Johnson is taken into custody — a hearing will be set to determine whether Johnson did in fact violate his probation. If he did, it could mean jail time.
Johnson has been making the rounds while socializing with his massive twitter following and was currently in California at the time of this story. Hopefully the violations don’t lead to any jail time for the flamboyant free agent receiver.
