Less than 24 hours after the EF-4 Tornado struck the town of Moore, Oklahoma, Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant pledged a tremendous donation to the victims: $1 million dollars, to be exact.
Durant calls Oklahoma City his home, and as the day progressed and he saw more and more footage of the wreckage, he helped out in the best way he could — financial relief for those affected.
Along with the donation, Durant had inspiring words to the town of Moore, stating that the city will come together and bounce back from this tragedy. Also, he plans to go to Moore in efforts to lift the spirits of those suffering by visiting hospitals, or in his words:
“Something. Just something to give hope.”
