Manny Ramirez Changes Sox, Heads To Chicago

For the past week, the Chicago White Sox made no secret that they wanted Manny Ramirez to be their DH for the remainder of the season.
After some waiver formalities and some back and forth, yesterday they finally made it happen.
The White Sox acquired Ramirez yesterday on a straight waiver claim from [...]

 The Cleveland Cavaliers' Future

The Cleveland Cavaliers’ Future

Someone told me that Lebron is no longer a Cavalier? Alright, time to move on. Cleveland, you need to forget the fact that the best player in the league no longer sports your jersey. Dan Gilbert is doing a terrible job at this, so it’s up to the fans to forget.

The only major changes the depth chart faces is a new small forward, my boy Jamario Moon!

Derek Major: Dallas Cowboys Offense Needs To Show Up in Preseason Dress Rehearsal

Wade Phillips is calling the Cowboys game Saturday night against the Houston Texans a dress rehearsal, and the offense needs to show some sign of life if they’re going to be on the field for three quarters, as they’ve shown nothing in the first three games.

BTB: Split Decision: Cowboys 16, Chargers 14

BTB: Split Decision: Cowboys 16, Chargers 14

Boxing buffs will tell you that the best fights pit rivals with different styles. Matchups of two heavy punchers frequently produce quick, bloody bouts. Two boxers can shadow each other round after round, producing too few flurries.

Saturday’s Chargers - Cowboys game presented two contrasting styles. Norv Turner’s offense worked the old ’90s [...]

Why does MLB suck?

Why does MLB suck?

First, let me say I don’t hate MLB, in fact when I was a young man (I’m 44 now), I loved the major league game. I ate, drank and slept baseball. And right up until 1994 I loved baseball.

Some of my fondest memories of my late grandfather (God rest his soul) are of us watching Ranger and Yankee games together. We rooted for the Rangers and always rooted against the Yankees. My second favorite team was the one that beat the Yankees.

SJ Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinee Report: Rickey Jackson

SJ Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinee Report: Rickey Jackson

“There was nothing he couldn’t do. You couldn’t say he could do this but not do that. He could rush the passer. He could play the run. He could drop into coverage. He could do all those things.” - Jim Mora, former coach

Jackson entered the league in 1981 as a 2nd round pick (51st overall) of the New Orleans Saints, and immediately made an impact.

SJ Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinee Report: John Randle

“I’ve seen him spent from giving all he had in games, but he’s still better than the guy across from him. He’s tired, but the guy across from him is dead.” - John Teerlinck, former defensive line coach on Randle.

Randle entered the league as a a 250 lb undrafted free agent without a position.
