Maybe these Arizona Diamondbacks trade pickups are worth something? Joe Saunders pitched a complete game tonight, giving up one run, in defeating the Washington Nationals 6-1.
Mark Reynolds hit a three-run homer and also got beaned in the head and had to leave early, but seems to be ok.

Edwin Jackson was traded to the Chicago White Sox today. He was traded for pitcher Dan Hudson and prospect David Holmberg. The Arizona Diamondbacks may not be done wheeling and dealing either with the trade deadline looming on Saturday.

The inevitable has occurred. Dan Haren has been traded. He is now a member of the Los Angeles Angels. One of the players the Arizona Diamondbacks will receive in return is Joe Saunders.

I woke up this morning not sure if Dan Haren would still be an Arizona Diamondback. Apparently he is. As of last night, the New York Yankees were front-runners to acquire the Dbacks ace, however, they fell out of the front-runner position after turning Arizona down on an offer that included Yankees reliever Joba Chamberlain.
