The Third Secret Meeting
This Secret Meeting was all about improving ticket sales. It was undeniable that season ticket orders (for the new stadium in Arlington) were “slumping”. Folks had begun to call the place “Jerry World”. Something had to be done. The Cowboys’ disappointing finish in 2008 hadn’t exactly helped matters. The team’s once elite status as a premier football franchise had now slipped to being one of only 3 teams who haven’t won a playoff game in the last 12 years. One of only three teams. Disgusting.
The Next Secret Meeting
The second Secret Meeting was all about finding the right “atmosphere” for the team to play in. The new billion dollar stadium was already grabbing headlines around the league, but something was missing. Missing, in fact, ever since the Cowboys left the confines of the old Cotton Bowl and moved to Irving. Texas Stadium had been a nice, modern upgrade, but the loud, screaming, rabid fans had been left behind. Season tickets (at the Cotton Bowl) had been held by football fans.
