Spartans land dual-threat quarterback Terry
Quote:
Mark Dantonio certainly is not suffering from a case of "The Mondays." The Michigan State coach picked up his second big commitment of the day when dual-threat quarterback Damion Terry (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) announced for the Spartans.
From his account @DamionTerry, the 6-foot-3, 210-pound quarterback tweeted, "I am officially a Michigan State Spartan!!"
Terry said a number of factors played into his decision.
"[The] coaching staff, I have a great relationship with them, the other players who have committed and the academics and the direction the program's going," he wrote in a text message.
The Spartans picked up a commitment from linebacker Shane Jones (Cincinnati/Moeller) on Monday afternoon.
Terry is the Spartans' seventh commitment in the 2013 class, which ranks fourth in the Big Ten behind Michigan (17 commitments), Ohio State (eight) and Penn State (eight).
