Question Romo + Ring = Hall of Fame True or False?

First the facts, Tony Romo is the second highest rated QB in NFL history.

So my question for the SJ masses is simple... Given a Super Bowl victory, is Romo a future HoF'er? Some judge his production alone as enough to be of HoF caliber. With a ring, does Romo deserve to be in the Hall of Fame?

You dodged the question.

If he plays a 16 game season and wins the Super Bowl this season... and then retires, it would be no.

If he wins one Super Bowl this season and then keeps up his current level of production and helps keep the Cowboys in the playoffs consistently (and wins one once in while)... maybe but its a long shot. He'll have the same fate as Ken Anderson and not be as good in comparison to others in his era.

I would say he would need an MVP or two, and some 1st team all pro type seasons in order to make it... on top of his Super Bowl victory.

edit: he would also need about 12-15000 more total yards, so 3-4 more seasons of play including the upcoming one.

Man, that's a ton of facts

But for me, it's a no not yet. And before you ask I don't think Eli Manning is yet either.

I don't think either of them has a fantastic shot. They'll end up in the just missed out group, along with Brodie, McNair, McNabb, Anderson, Cunningham, Stabler, Simms and Esiaon (among others).

He'll probably get inducted without it, but IMO though he puts up stats during the season, he fails as a team leader. And I'm not even mentioning his lowlight reel of plays. To me the HOF should be tightened up as far as what sets the bar for QBs, RBs, WRs, and TEs to get inducted.

Answer???

No, the committee which decides which players get in to the Hall of Shame are equally
biased against the Cowboys...Bob Hayes, Drew Pearson are just 2 examples of how the
politics which decides who are in and which stay out

yet it took them no time flat to induct a drug addict/child molester (LT) in to the Hall
with out hesitation
