Hopefully they get another budget increase. More episodes would be nice considering how long A Storm of Swords is.

Season 3 will probably start in April.

They need to make these seasons longer, it's just irritating being so short.

They'd have to get a rather large budget increase in order to have more than 10 episodes and still keep the show up to the standards that they have set. I think every HBO series either runs on a 12 or 10 episode season. And for what it's worth, they've already gone on the record saying that "Storm of Swords" will be split into two seasons (and I have a good idea of where they'll be splitting it).

So maybe those that have read the books can explain something to me. Spoiler tag it if you deem it necessary. Why did Tyrion get treated the way he did after the battle? I understand Cersie & Joffery would want him diminished, but did he not do exactly what his father Tywin asked him to do when he sent him to Kings Landing? He pretty much got the boy king & his mother under control, & did a pretty good job of defending the city. I understand Tywin would want the glory for himself & the power of being the hand, but would he not have gained some respect for Tyrion?

TBH, I think most of it is Tywin's bias against Tyrion due to what happened in his birth and him being a dwarf. He took Cersei's account of what transpired in Kings Landing in his absence as truth and also did not have the chance to listen to Tyrion for many days after his arrival due to Tyrion's injury.

Cersei has always hated Tyrion.

Tywin would never be in the running for father of the year, but he still seems to know his children well enough to know that Cersei is crazy and Tyrion is smarter than half of King's Landing combined.
