I would also take Emmitt. In his prime, no one played harder than Smith. Even when he was injured, he found a way to make it on the field to not only play, but to contribute.

Say whatever you want to about the dude, he was all heart AND ability. You must have both. Even the great Jim Brown knew that. He lost his heart to play, and he knew to quit the game.

In that AFC championship game a couple years back, my opinions changed on 2 players completely.

I had no respect for Rivers up to that point, but when he played that game with a torn ACL, he earned my respect. Didn't bitch and moan about it, just went out there and gave it all for his team.

LaDainian Tomlinson on the other hand? Cried like a little bitch and did nothing to help his team over a sprained MCL.

Would take Emmit also. Considering your stance on Marino, TC, I figured that'd be a no brainer for you.

Tomlinson is one of the greats, but not the greatest.

I too would take Emmitt, Sanders, Payton and a few others before selecting LaDanian

That's exactly how I feel about these two players as well. LT lost me as a fan on that day.

Very weak post. Rivers is one of the most overrated QBs ever. LT was a gamer and warrior.

Agreed.

I remember arguing with Trojan Horse over that game.
