Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress’ job status is very fragile. Schefter said that there is a growing dissastisfaction in Minnesota that was caused by several factors.
Obviously, one of those factors was the trade and release for Randy Moss. Another factor is probably the Vikings’ poor play.
Full disclosure: I’ve been a Vikings fan since approximately 1970. I started attending about one home Vikings game per year in 1993. When 1998 came around, I told my then-wife that - if she still wanted to see the NFL on a yearly basis - we would need to buy season tickets. The reason? #84.

Brad Childress is a nice guy, from my few meetings with him. He’s always treated me cordially - as he does every fan. The few times I’ve met him have been at training camp or at a team promotion of some kind or another. He has a remarkable and dry sense of humor, which occasionally comes out in his television, radio or newspaper interviews. He’s actually quite funny when he wants to be.
