As we found yesterday, the Jenn Sterger allegations against Brett Favre are indeed true. Deadspin delivered the goods, and the only way Favre could be innocent, is if some elaborate and carefully orchestrated conspiracy/cover-up were at work. You know those people who don’t believe in the moon landing? Or think O.J. was framed? Or believe [...]
The NFL world endured a blockbuster a trade today, with Randy Moss being traded from the New England Patriots to the Minnesota Vikings.
Since the week one win over the Cincinnati Bengals, Randy Moss completely lost his desire to be in a Patriot uniform …]
This exchange between two of my fellow Vikings fans pretty much sums it up:
Fan1: Vikes 2009 NFL Yearbook airs Saturday, August 7 at 5:30pm CDT on ESPN2.
Fan2: Thanks! I’ll set my DVR to record all but the last 5 minutes.
And so it goes in Viking Nation. [...]
With the NFL season approaching faster than we think, it’s time to start looking around and in this case, ranking the NFL’s 32 starting quarterbacks.
In cases where a starting quarterback may not have been decided yet, I plugged in my projected starter.
When doing these rankings, I took into consideration the following: the quarterbacks talent as [...]
Trent Green, is a man who, to me, is the epitome of an NFL star, and one who, on and off the field, made me stop and take note. His presence on the field was felt by those who played with and coached him, and his style off the field affected the communities he touched. Trent Green, although no longer with the NFL, should not be forgotten by those who come behind him.
Why? Some ask, laughingly [...]
All the newborns recently crawled out from under their rocks to chastise Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress for wanting to upgrade his team’s performance by benching the media deity Brett Favre in last weeks 26-7 loss to the Carolina Panthers.
Favre, of course, butted heads with Childress and refused to come off the field. Business [...]
For one half at least, the Browns appeared to be among the doorstep of NFL legitimacy, challenging a solid Vikings squad with physical, aggressive play. While not exactly a finely tuned engine, the offense generated some movement on the ground, while the special teams again revealed themselves to be the team’s greatest weapon in this [...]
I have a friend who is a rabid, unrelenting Minnesota Vikings fan. He’s convinced that Adrian Peterson is actually Jesus draped in purple, their defense could stop the plummeting economy and that Brett Favre will lead them to the Super Bowl.
Well, he isn’t that much of a homer, but you get my point.
On most points, I agree with him. AP is the best back in the league, they have a pretty good defense and Favre could learn to be a game-manager who can complete passes when called upon.
What’s bugging me this week? How about the whole story behind QB Brett Favre’s return to the NFL.
For the last couple of months, anyone who follows the NFL has been trying to figure out whether or not Favre was going to show up for training camp with the Minnesota Vikings.
After he came out [...]

WCCO has seen the WISN report, and raised it.
According to Mark Rosen of the Minneapolis/St. Paul CBS affiliate, Favre will sign a contract with the Vikings today.
