This has not been a good week off the field for either side of The Rivalry.
On Thursday, Michigan defensive lineman Will Campbell was arraigned on two charges — one a “felony” — that stemmed from an early-morning Dukes of Hazzard recreation back in April. Now, the other half of The Game has been hit by a legal issue as well.[...]

THE Game: Ohio State vs. Michigan
No matter their record, no matter how the teams are viewed, when Michigan and Ohio State get together for their annual game, it’s going to be a war. It’s the biggest game on the schedule for each team. Beating the other team can turn a down year into an acceptable one. Ohio State under Coach Jim Tressel went 9-1 in the rivalry with a 7 game win streak, although the last win is vacated. Now both teams are with first year coaches and looking to gain control. [...]

Letter From an OSU Fan to Penn State Fans
“Dear Penn State Fan/Alumni,
You don’t know me. Sure, we may have seen each other once or twice at a road game or a tailgate, but aside from a passing glance, and an occasional hello, we are strangers. Heck, we’re actually more like enemies. After all, I’m a fan of The Ohio State University – tOSU, or O$U as you might[...]

An Open Letter to New Coach Luke Fickell
Dear Coach Luke Fickell:
Please don’t break my heart.
About two weeks ago, I wrote an open letter to Terrelle Pryor and let him know we were breaking up. He betrayed me in ways I never thought would happen, so I hung my No. 2 jersey in the closet and kissed a championship run goodbye.
Now, I’m writing another letter.[...]

Lampooning Jim Tressel’s Corruption: a Cottage Industry is Born (Pictures)
When you’ve ruled the Big Ten landscape for so long, you make a lot of enemies. When you achieved that place in college football because you repeatedly broke numerous rules along the way, you make many more enemies. Much has been made of Jim Tressel lying repeatedly to Ohio State compliance officials about what he …

Did Ron Zook Cost Illinois the Ohio State Game?
There’s nothing worse than having an outmatched coach, and that is definitely what the Zooker proved again on Saturday.
With his team on the verge of driving for a touchdown, the Fighting Illini faced a fourth and seven from the 13 yard line with 4:40 left in the game. The Illini were making only their third trip to the red zone in the game, [...]

Michigan: Time To Win Is Now
Michigan has to win this season or Rich Rodriguez will be out of a job. Michigan has a proud tradition and history and lately that has taken a hit. I’m not talking just from the winning aspect of the game but with the infractions. I really do hope it was just a mistake and not something that was done intentional but either way this was the first time Michigan has had sanctions or even been looked at in Football by the NCAA.
