Memo to Chicago Bears GM Jerry Angelo: when a player is let go by a team as crappy as the Dallas Cowboys, there is probably a reason.
For the third consecutive week, the Bears are looking like idiots thanks to the actions of a former Cowboy player.
Against Kansas City the culprit was wide “receiver” Roy [...]
The Chicago Bears were up 10-0 in the fourth quarter, and had Tim Tebow right where they wanted him. Problem is, it was familiar territory for the Denver Broncos quarterback, who, with major assists from Matt Prater and the Denver defense, led the Broncos to an insane 13-10 overtime victory.
Tebow completed just three of 16 passes[...]
The NFC playoff picture isn’t quite as complicated as the AFC but there are a few spots to fill in the final month of the season. We’ve played 13 weeks and right now all we really know is that the Packers and 49ers will be in the playoffs. The Saints should win the AFC South up two games with four to play while the Cowboys hang onto a one-game lead over the Giants in the NFC East. [...]
I remember when Tom Waddle played in the NFL. He was like the annoying kid you couldn’t catch in a game of tag, only because it seems like he caught everything thrown his way and took some big hits for it. Yet he still held on to the ball. The guy was like a human pinata.
During an interview on ESPN 1000 on the Waddle & Silvy show which he co-hosts, Waddle took the time to lash out [...]
While the “Midwest Super Bowl,” was not the game everyone anticipated per say, it was a game full of interesting sub-plots. Arguably the most intriguing of them all was how the Packers allowed the Bears to stick around at the end.
Despite holding the Bears to only one touchdown in their previous 30 drives, the Packers [...]
Jets at Steelers: You can’t pick against either team with any confidence. The J E T S, Jets, Jets, Jets, are on one of those historic runs. They’ve beaten Peyton Manning and Tom Brady is successive weeks. Their defense has played brilliantly in both contests. They’ve overshadowed Pittsburgh’s own amazing divisional battle with the Baltimore [...]
“BUT THEY ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE! AND WE LET ‘EM OFF THE HOOK!”
Everybody who has been an NFL fan since 2005 knows about Dennis Green’s temper tantrum after the Chicago Bears squeaked past the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football in the 2006 season.
Dennis Green was the head coach for the Arizona Cardinals, [...]
There are many naysayers out there in the sports world. Many people believe a team will fail for personal or realistic reasons. Often Bears fans expect the Vikings to lose and for them to win. Sometimes Jets fans expect the Patriots to lose and Jets to win.
Yesterday those are things that only those groups of [...]
After last week’s devastating loss to the Washington Redskins, the Dallas Cowboys have plenty of questions to answer. Their opponent this week, the Chicago Bears, want to be respected as a legitimate NFC North division contender.
Having only one game to go off of in 2010 season, it’s hard to pick a clear cut favorite between [...]
I have a friend who is a rabid, unrelenting Minnesota Vikings fan. He’s convinced that Adrian Peterson is actually Jesus draped in purple, their defense could stop the plummeting economy and that Brett Favre will lead them to the Super Bowl.
Well, he isn’t that much of a homer, but you get my point.
On most points, I agree with him. AP is the best back in the league, they have a pretty good defense and Favre could learn to be a game-manager who can complete passes when called upon.
