Hope Solo went from female soccer star to one of the most searched women on the internet during and after the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Germany. What makes her so special? Why is she good for sports? A better role model for young females than Kim Kardashian, Danica Patrick or even Erin Andrews? The Sportsbank investigates five reasons why…
With racing fans…as well as with all guys named “Bubba”…there is no middle-ground with Danica Patrick. You either love her or hate her. Non-racing fans. however, either love her, could care less about her one way or the other, don’t know who she is, or…in the case of heterosexual males…wanna bang her. So, in honor of the 100th Indy 500 and Danica’s broad-ranging effect…
So…Jennifer Jo Cobb refused to start-and-park her car, refusing orders by her car owner, at the Nationwide race in Bristol on Saturday. So, she didn’t race.
Whut up wid dat?
My first question was…Who is Jennifer Jo?…
NASCAR will be racing at Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend. Official forecasts suggests that neither the Nationwide or Sprint Cup races will likely sell out. I’m here to tell you why.
First off…It’s Bristol! Who the Hell wants to go to Bristol, Tennessee? Who the Hell wants to go ANYWHERE in Tennessee? Now that I mention it…Where the Hell IS Bristol…
A lot of interesting topics are brewing in NASCAR since I last made a post here at Sports Jabber…
Number 1) has to be Jeremy Mayfield, because this has to be the most bizarre story of them all. Did Mayfield use meth or not? Someone is lying and I can’t wait to see who it is.
Forgive me for being excited about this soap opera happening off the track and not being excited about all the action on the track, BUT this is NASCAR’s biggest story and if it continues in the direction that it is heading, it will be NASCAR’s biggest story of all time.
In what has to be a disappointing end, the weekend at Charlotte will better be known for rain than great racing that comes from Lowes. The Nationwide race was shortened and after being delayed from Sunday night to Monday, we would find no difference in luck. Mother Nature had different plans for this weekend. But, some racing happened, and what was there was either really good for some, or a wreck for others. Kyle Busch started the race and took off, which this and last season we have been very accustomed seeing. A few cars looked strong early, Vickers, Kahne, Stewart, Kyle Busch, and even Juan Pablo Montoya. The race was stopped as more rain came, and then started and stopped and started and I can’t remember how many times it happened. And finally a long red flag and inches more of rain led to a long, long stoppage.
I really don’t know much about Indy Cars or the Indy 500. I mean, once they get past “Dudes & Dudettes, start your engines”, I’m basically lost until I see the checkered flag. Then again, I don’t know much about NASCAR either, but that’s never even slowed me down as to writing about it. There are three ladies in the field this weekend at the Indy 500: Danica Patrick, Sarah Fisher, and Milka Duno. On behalf of all of the male drivers in the field, I am filing an official complaint. No, the complaint is not about there being women drivers, although I KNOW there are some good ole boys who are chafing in their fire suits about that aspect. My complaint is that all three ladies are FI-INNNNE…DROP-DEAD GORGEOUS…UMMMM UMMMMPH YUMMY…so smoking hot that I bet the average track temperature (among other things) at this year’s Indy 500 will rise…significantly.
