Summer is heating up action on and off track
A lot of interesting topics are brewing in NASCAR since I last made a post here at Sports Jabber…
Number 1) has to be Jeremy Mayfield, because this has to be the most bizarre story of them all. Did Mayfield use meth or not? Someone is lying and I can’t wait to see who it is.
Forgive me for being excited about this soap opera happening off the track and not being excited about all the action on the track, BUT this is NASCAR’s biggest story and if it continues in the direction that it is heading, it will be NASCAR’s biggest story of all time.
Left Turn Louie: Mayfield…Super Fly
Dumb ass Mayfield (Jeremy the Sprint Cup driver and owner, not the late great singer/composer Curtis) just had his dumb ass suspended for violating NASCAR’S substance policy. I used “dumb ass” twice to cover both of his jobs. NASCAR, per policy, would only say what the substance was not. They said it was not alcohol. That basically narrows it down to recreational drugs and/or steroids. Who does Mayfield think he is…Clemens, A-Roid, Manny, Randy Orton (and 90% of the WWE), “The Great” Quincy Carter? Two crew members, Tony Martin (#34 car) and Ben Williams (#16 car) were also busted for doping…on the same day. Now, I’m not saying the three cases are related, but HMMMmmmm!
