Projecting The Los Angeles Dodgers’ Starting Lineup

The Los Angeles Dodgers didn’t have much going on this offseason in terms of signing any high priced free agents, however that might change next offseason when they will most likely have a new ownership team in place. According to Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times, there are at least eight potential buyers still in the game for the Dodgers. [...]

Los Angeles Dodgers Sign Chris Capuano

Los Angeles Dodgers Sign Chris Capuano

Sorry I didn’t get to this yesterday, but last night was a rough one. I was watching the PAC 12 Championship Game at an University of Oregon bar in NYC.

Since I have readers across the country, let me ask you something: what is in the water at the University of Oregon? Every girl that goes or went there is extremely attractive. It’s ridiculous.

If you are a male in high school, let me [...]

Four years ago, they began as a semi-serious analysis and ended up as half-assed haiku. We’re just gonna go with what we know. Could Zach Lee Be the Best Signing of the 2010 MLB Draft?

Could Zach Lee Be the Best Signing of the 2010 MLB Draft?

The deadline for signing 2010 draft choices has passed. Most first round picks have signed, including the hyped number one selection Bryce Harper. It is reported Harper has agreed upon a contract worth $9.9 million over five years. Although his .443 average, 31 home runs, and 98 RBI’s for the College of Southern Nevada is nothing to frown upon, the Dodgers’ newly signed Zach Lee could end up being the best signing of this draft.

Lee, a starting pitcher out of McKinney High School in Texas, was considered a top pitching prospect in the draft.

Tommy John: A Comeback For The Ages

Tommy John: A Comeback For The Ages

Tommy John spent 26 years pitching in the major leagues. During that span, he won 288 games, struck out 2,245 batters, and finished with a career ERA of 3.34. Despite spending time with both the Dodgers and Yankees during the height of their baseball power, John was never a champion, losing to each of those clubs in the World Series. And though he fell just 12 victories short of 300, and is ranked seventh all time in victories for left-handed hurlers, he is not in Cooperstown.

Fans are often driven by the comeback, watching teams and players battle back into contention after appearing down and out. [...]
