Dbacks Down to Final Two Weeks

jumbo_shot27426305

What will see from the Arizona Diamondbacks over the past two weeks? Many questions still to answer, even though the big one, where will they finish in the standings, was answered long ago.

The Dbacks will come home after tomorrow’s game against the Pittsburgh Pirates for the final six home games of the season before ending up on the road in California [...]

More Long Balls as Dbacks Win Series Over Phillies

medium_mlb_arizona_diamondbacks_1

As I discussed Friday night, the Arizona Diamondbacks are getting real good at living and dying by the home run.  They did it again today, as the Dbacks managed to score five of their eight runs via the long ball, thanks to a two-run homer by Kelly Johnson and a three-run homer by Mark Reynolds.  …

Diamondbacks Position Preview: Third Base

fantasy_u_reynolds_300

That’s all you need to know about third base when it comes to the Arizona Diamondbacks.  Reynolds, who has a knack for making the spectacular plays, has the chance to turn himself into a superstar at the hot corner.  A couple of things though have dogged Reynolds over his first few seasons.  Although he makes …

Dbacks Haven’t Exactly Provided a ‘Thriller’ of a Season So Far

Jackson, the pop-cultural icon, who died at the age of 50 provided many people with much entertainment.

We can remember where we were when the biggest songs premiered, and can remember so many things, good and not-so-good, about the eccentric artist. As I heard Jackson’s songs being played over the past 24 hours on Sirius Satellite Radio, I thought what current Arizona Diamondbacks players are living Michael Jackson songs?

Reynolds Player of the Week

Arizona Diamondbacks third/first baseman Mark Reynolds has been named NL Co-Player of the week along with Colorado Rockies closer Huston Street.

Reynolds had a slugging percentage of 1.000, five doubles, three home runs over the past week.

Too bad we didn’t have seven other Mark Reynolds in the starting lineup. We could also use a guy like Huston Street as the Dbacks bullpen had another rough week along with a couple starters.

Dbacks Win Thanks to Upton, Scherzer

Just call it the Justin Upton and Max Scherzer show today.  That’s all they needed in order to salvage game three of the series against the San Francisco Giants, winning 2-1 today. Scherzer went for his longest outing as a major leaguer, 7.2 innings and Justin Upton went yard for this 12th home run of …

Bullpen Pitches a No-Hitter, After Allowing Five in Ninth

C’mon, only 18 innings? That’s all they got? Mark Reynolds ended a 5 hour and 45 minute marathon with a three-run home run off of former Arizona Diamondbacks and position player Josh Wilson to beat the San Diego Padres 9-6.

Well, that was more than enough trust me.

D’backs: What’s Hot, What’s Not

In the midst of a terrible season by the Arizona Diamondbacks, there have been areas and individuals on this team that have been hot and not so hot. A closer look:

Hot:

Justin Upton – this guy is plain sick. Take this evening in San Diego for example…

Four! Dbacks Fight Back To Extend Streak

These are the new Arizona Diamondbacks.
Now eight games into this road trip, the Dbacks are now 6-2 and easily could be 8-0. Tonight in Oakland they won again by fighting back after being down. Down 5-1 in the eighth inning the Dbacks came up with four big runs to tie the game and eventually come away with a big 8-7 win in 11 innings over the Oakland A’s.

D’backs Go Fish, Take 3-1 Series Win

Well that was the most fun I’ve had all season, how about you? They are still a long way from being decent, much less good, however a win is a win and you take it everyday. So far, the Arizona Diamondbacks can say they have taken four days like that in the past week.
