Yahoo is reporting that the Nets are backing off pursuit of a deal for Carmelo Anthony, league source says. “At least for now,” according to Adrian Wojnarowski

With the Nets officially holding back from making a deal, its becoming more evident that Anthony will remain with the Nuggets for the start of the 2010 season.

Once the season begins the Nuggets could become more inclined[...]

After seeing insult added to the Nets lousy season I think its time to do away with the NBA Draft Lottery. The Nets were only able to muster 12 wins last season and now instead of having the number 1 pick like they would in any other sport they now get the 3rd pick in the draft.
