Lost amidst the tough loss Thursday night was news that Marques Colston reportedly suffered a shoulder injury in the loss. Head coach Sean Payton did not reveal the extent of it but news reports are now indicating it could be moderately serious. According to a tweet from Jay Glazer, Colston suffered a broken collarbone and will miss approximately four weeks. We’re still waiting on further [...]

The reigning Super Bowl Champ New Orleans Saints fell to the 7-9 Seattle Seahawks in today’s playoff match. All week I continued to hear about the disgrace of the Seahawks making the playoffs. This so called disgraceful team just took down the defending champs. I believe this is actually a good thing.

The New Orleans Saints defeated the Dallas Cowboys in what was a great second game on Thanksgiving Day.

While the Cowboys had a great second half and took the lead late in the fourth quarter, in the end Drew Brees had one more drive in him in order to give them the win.

Here are my immediate thoughts…

Ever since I started writing for Sports Illustrated back in 1996, I’ve had a personal love-hate relationship with its Sportsman of the Year. Sometimes, the choices have been unarguable—the women’s soccer team, Tiger Woods, Buddy Biancalana. Other times, however, I’ve wanted to rip my hair out. Brett Favre? Dwayne Wade? That Roger Federer never won the damn thing—and now it’s too late—is a shame. I mean, who was better?

The Heisman Trust announced on Wednesday that the 2005 Stiff Arm Trophy will be vacated. The decision leaves the award empty for that particular college football season, and denies Vince Young  the Suzette Charles path to obtain the valued hardware.
