Just a mere 3 days ago everyone was writing off the Magic. They were down 3-0 heading into game 4 in Boston and surely they were just going to lay down. The Magic did anything but that though. The former Eastern Conference Champs went into Boston and fought hard and came out with a win which forced a game 5 back in Orlando. Game 4 wasn’t pretty either. The Magic missed [...]
Sure they still run and gun as they did during the D’Antoni era. However, they actually do something they have long been criticized for not doing and that’s playing DEFENSE. Yes ladies and gentlemen, the Phoenix Suns play defense. They are actually being praised for it by the like of Gregg Poppovich.
As I was watching the predictions..
Sorry I”m late on this, but I’ve been on vacation these past few days lol.
Anyways, with two weeks left the race is tightening up and unless something crazy happens, our playoff teams seem to be locked up right now.
Here’s a look at my top ten teams for this week:
1. Cavs-
Really is there any team playing better ball right now? Z is about to return as is Shaq. The only team that can beat the Cavs, are the Cavs.
2. Magic-
Not quite at the same level as teh Cavs but not too far behind either. A matchup in the Eastern Conference finals could be epic!
3. [...]
We have all heard the talk for the past few seasons: Kobe and LeBron will face each other in the Finals someday. I know that seems like a dream matchup. I hope it’s going to happen. It almost happened last season, but the Cavaliers weren’t good enough for the underrated Orlando Magic. Now it comes [...]
Join Mark and Ben this week as they review the conference championships of the NFL playoffs and take their first look at the Winter Olympics and NCAA Basketball; after all we’re coming up on March Madness.
Also, Mark will do his usual sports world whiparound to cover the other major stories and Ben will keep you [...]
Zach Randolph: Randolph plays for the Memphis Grizzlies so you probably won’t get to see him on nationally televised games unless you have the NBA League Pass package with your cable or satellite company. Nevertheless, this 6-foot-9 forward has been putting up mind-numbing numbers. Last week he was a beast in the fantasy world. I’m [...]
For the past decade the balance of power in the NBA has been firmly rooted in the Western Conference. Western teams have captured six championships and have had more teams with winning records than the East.
If not for the Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, and Detroit Pistons, the Eastern Conference would have been shut out as [...]
We’re nearly a fifth of the way through the season and have a pretty good idea of who the best teams in the league (although not that good of an idea, as no team really wants to hold of the season). We also have a fairly good idea who the truly pathetic teams in the [...]
Tonight marks the start of another journey in the world of NBA basketball. Opening night featured the Cleveland Cavaliers playing host to the Boston Celtics. The Celtics are regarded by many to return and win the NBA Finals this season. Against LeBron James and the Cavs, they proved they are indeed on a mission with a 95-89 victory on the road. The late game televised on TNT nationally is the defending champion Lakers playing host to the Clippers …
