The Sports Bank.net: Phillip Humber throws 3rd perfect game in White Sox history!

humber-perfect-game-300x300

Phillip Humber worked really fast for the Chicago White Sox. It took him just 90 pitches to throw the 20th perfect game in Major League regular season history (21st overall). It was also the 3rd perfect game in White Sox history.

Dear Bud Selig, Give Armando Galarraga his perfect game

galarraga

There have been a total of 20 perfect games in MLB history. Last night their should have been number 21 but first base umpire Jim Joyce blew an obvious call to ruin the moment for Galarraga. How many games have there been? I don’t have the time or patience to do the research, but someone said it was near 400,000. Using that as a figure and knowing that Mark Buehrle just pitched the 18th perfect game in history, let’s do the math.
