Eric Lindros has long had a shaky relationship with the Philadelphia Flyers organization, but it appears as though bygones will be made bygones at the end of December when Lindros returns to the ice in Philly as part of the Winter Classic. He confirmed to FAN590 in Toronto on Wednesday morning that he’ll indeed play. [...]
Ovechkin, the two-time league MVP, was off to a slow start with only one goal in the first five games. He ended that slump with goals in the first and third periods to lift the Capitals to a 6-0 start for the first time in team history. Washington had never started better than 4-0.
The Capitals stormed into Philadelphia and roughed-up Ilya Bryzgalov(notes), scoring three goals in a 2 minute, 54-second s[...]
No. 1 Star: Claude Giroux, Philadelphia Flyers
During a first period that saw the Flyers take a 3-1 lead over the Vancouver Canucks, Giroux netted a goal for the third straight game and added two assists. The Canucks fought back, but an Andrej Meszaros tally 4:40 into the third period was the difference in the 5-4 Philadelphia victory. Giroux earned [...]

Dear Mike Richards,
My Twitter feed told me the other day that you’ve landed in Los Angeles, and I saw a picture of you online putting on your brand new No. 10 Kings jersey.
I guess that means you really aren’t coming back to Philly. [...]
Danny Briere had Game 2 on his stick. If he connects with the loose puck just feet from the wide-open goal, we’re talking about an even series and a Philadelphia win right now. Instead, the puck bounced away with just seconds on the clock and we’re headed to overtime tied at 2-2.
The Boston Bruins should feel [...]
It was a day to forget for the Philadelphia Flyers and their fans, while for the few yellow-clad faithful of the Boston Bruins in attendance, it was a sweet, sweet afternoon at Wells Fargo Center. The Bruins put up seven goals on the home team en route to a 7-3 rout, and in every sense of the word, , Boston completely dominated every aspect of the game.[...]
The first period of Game 5 was all Buffalo Sabres, as they jumped out to a 3-0 lead and chased goaltender Brian Boucher from the festivities. The Philadelphia Flyers and their home crowd were down and out, and it looked as though Buffalo would easily waltz to a 3-2 series lead. Instead, they were lucky to [...]
I wanted to personally thank Chelsea Travers for bringing this back into the forefront a bit. Traumatic brain injuries (TBI’s) are very serious and anyone who has suffered one (including yours truly) knows the effects on a day in and day out basis. First up her bio and then her article.
